Do you ever wonder if it is still possible to travel this world for some days without meeting any other tourists? After traveling through South-America for over four months, we really started to question this.

Yet, after having traveled through the Bolivian Pantanal and over the Rio Paraguay towards Concepcion, Paraguay I can luckily confirm that – if you really want to – it is still possible to travel through beautiful sparsely visited nature only surrounded by locals, some missionaries and let us not forget the military. The trip involved a ride with the so called Tren de la Muerte, a military speedboat, three days on a cargo ship and some amazing views of the wildlife and the nature surrounding us.
